Televisa, one of the most popular TV stations in Mexico is about to open 65 bingo halls in the country under the name of Play City. The news was announced by Alfonso de Angoitia, president of Televisas’s financial committee in a meeting he had this week with Mexican financial analysts.

A bill that would not allow charities to get new video bingo machines was killed by the House gambling oversight committee in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, United States. With the current session ending June 28th, there probably won’t be enough time to discuss it any further.

Venezuela passed a Taxes to Gambling Activities’ Law on Thursday, April 26th. The law, which came into force May 1st, obliges casinos, lotteries, slot machines, bingo rooms and horse-riding events to pay a monthly tax.

Grandma wins a £101,224 prize playing bingo.
A 71-year-old English woman from the city of Bolton, northeast England, took home a prize of £101,224 playing bingo at her local Mecca Bingo Club after winning the National Game prize.
She has been a bingo fan for a long time and visits her local bingo club almost everyday.
