Online Bingo goes onboard, as airlines such as British Airways, Cathay Pacific, Singapore Airlines and Virgin Airlines offer their passengers a wide variety of mid-air gambling games.
Virgin is the only airline that has its own online games portal, so travelers will be able to continue their online bingo games while flying. The passengers on other companies have to access other websites in order to be able to bet.
The initiative imitates the introduction of Texas Hold’em, an onboard game on Delta Airlines. Although the single game proved popular amongst bored travelers, the new system has taken it up a notch by including a wide variety of games, that include bingo, roulette, poker, blackjack, slot games, etc.
Although the exact amounts are yet to be defined, British Airways and the other airlines will be setting low limits in order to prevent first-class passengers to lose more than a few hundred dollars on a single flight. An even lower limit will be applied to economy and business-class passengers.
