Volkswagen has introduced small
adjustments in the outer and inner aspect of the New Beetle in order
to modernize this mythical model that rescue the spirit breaker
of the classic Escarabajo. The units with this facelift will not
be available until September.
The main objective was to make this model even more attractive
than the one before. The introduce changes are minimal but evident,
emphasizing the sharpness of the fins and the new lights. The
characteristic round lights of the New Beetle are now more oval
and the intermittent is smaller.
The pilots of the later part also have changed. The new design
is a white circle inside a red circle. Perhaps the more definitive
characteristic in the external changes are the rims of 16 inches,
giving a more dynamic aspect.
In the interior, the comfort equipment has been altered. In addition,
the materials of the tapestry have been changed, and now they
match with the new colors available of the body of the car. Other
elements of equipment, like those of security, vary depending
on the selected motorization, but between the list of equipment
common to series, all the frontal and lateral airbags versions
are emphasized, ABS brakes with EDS system, the front and back
lap belts, the air conditioner and the CD radio with MP3.
The prices recommended for these new models go from the 19,820
euros for the New Beetle 1,6 102 CV to 28,260 euros for the Cabriolet
1,9 TDI.
